Wood Screws
- Used in most of our products
- They are a Dura Coat process on steel.
- Last 7 times longer than galvanized.
- Is a cold temperature process. The temper of the steel
screw itself is not affected. Galvanizing is a hot temperature process that weakens
the temper of the screw.
- Have nibs under screw head which help prevent screw
from backing out.
Solid Brass and Bronze Coated Steel Bolts
- Brass will not rust.
- Custom-made in the USA to our specifications unsing
high-quality #1 brass.
Insert or "T" Nuts
- Used mostly in Adirondack furniture
- Made of Zinc Alloy = no rust.
- Provide a metal-to-metal connection to help prevent stripping,
used in critical areas where screws can easily strip in wood if too much effort is
applied.
- "T" Nuts and fastener bolts will sandwich pieces of
wood together between the fastener heads (unlike the drawing action of a screw, which
leads to potential stripping).
