        SlatLink = 9 gauge or 11 gauge galvanized or 9 gauge fuse bonded PVC

Q2.)  Which provides the most privacy?
A2.)  The PrivacyMaster with its 2" x 2" mesh and supreme slatting will provide the most privacy.  SlatLink will provide the least amount of privacy.

A6.)  Yes, it is not any more difficult to install than chain link without slats.   See the installation page.

Q7.)  What is the tallest height available?
A7.)   PrivacyLink™ products are available up to 12' tall.  In certain cases you may use half the height you need and double it.

Q8.)  Will the slats change color?
A8.)  Just as any vinyl products will fade with the sunlight, so will the PrivacyLink™ line of products.  You can expect many years (>10), before any serious fading will occur.

Q9.)  Will my dog or lawn equipment damage the slats?
A9.)  The slats are PVC and are not designed to be chewed on or hit with blades.  The slats will last many years under normal conditions.

Q10.)  Will the slats crack during cold winter months?
A10.)  The slats have a similar track history of vinyl siding in comparison.  The cold alone will not crack them, however like all PVC, they become more brittle in colder temperatures.

Q13.)  What special requirements are there for setting posts to accept PrivacyLink™?
A13.)  PrivacyLink™ products install like regular chain link, however when you construct anything that will create a wind buffer, it must be built stronger.  Chain link fence is usually installed with 10' maximum post spacing.  We do recommend 8' post spacing and heavier wall posts.  Certain areas which receive unusually high winds require closer post spacing and heavier wall posts.  For normal wind conditions 8' post spacing and SS20 framework is recommended. Q14.)  Will PrivacyLink™ provide a sound barrier?
A14.)  It will to a certain extent, however it is not designed as a sound buffer.

A15.)  Always check local building codes before attempting any construction.  They vary across the country and change frequently.

A16.)  Sorry, we do not have samples of this product.  If you have specific questions, please email.  You may wish to buy one 25' length as a sample; you may return it if you do not like it or purchase more to finish your job.

Q17.)  How do I stretch the chain link with the slats already in place?
A17.)  Chain link is often stretched with a 'spreader bar' or stretch bar viewed here:

In order to use one of these you will need to remove one or two slats to insert your stretch bar.  Once the fence is stretched you can replace the slat(s) without difficulty.

A18.)  Yes, you can as easily as regular chain link.

A19.)  It sure does.  You may need to remove a slat or two and replace it once you've pieced the rolls together.
